Rotarian of the Month

Rotarian of the Month

Mike Holland
Raised on a farm in Stevens County, graduated from Morris High School.  Received further vocational education in Nursery and Landscape Management.  Worked for several years in the metro area for landscape nurseries before purchasing a greenhouse and floral business in Wisconsin which he and his wife LaVonne ran for three years.  They returned to Minnesota in 1979 and purchased Glenwood Floral and Greenhouses.  Mike and LaVonne had a successful run of their business for 38 years.  In the year 2000 the Hollands started Holland Storage.  Mike is now retired from the greenhouse business but stays active with the storage business.  Mike has served on various board for the City and the County and Glenwood Lutheran Church.  He is also on the advisory board for WCRORC in Morris.
Mike and LaVonne have three children Sarah, and twins Matthew and Daniel, and five grandchildren.  Mike has been active in Rotary since 1987 and has served as Treasurer and Secretary.  The rose sale and the street flower pots have been projects that Mike has helped with.
